Maranghetto strongly recommends you discover the beauty and attractions of the surrounding countryside along its cycle tracks and, on request, can even provide the bicycles.
There are unpaved dirt tracks which run along the edges of cultivated fields in a land with no borders, that loses itself in the distant, flat horizon of Veneto and where the colours of the landscape paint unforgettable picture-postcards.
Our routes have been planned so as to combine a pleasant day in the open air with culture, tradition and, why not, a glass of good wine in a typical, local inn.

The Lagoon
“Four boats were sailing up the main canal towards the great lagoon to the north. Everything was frozen over, freshly frozen during the sudden cold snap of the night.
In the cold dawn of a winter Sunday, on the frozen lagoon, four boats are sailing towards the hunters’ barrel-dens to hunt duck. One of these carries 50-year-old Colonel Richard Cantwell, who is stationed in Trieste.

Fishermen’s Hut-Shelters of Caorle
This is part of an ancient world, a tradition that tells a story of hard work, men and nature. These are typical shelters for fishermen where age-old stories and tales of work are exchanged in among fishing-nets and ancient tools of the trade.
The hut-shelters tell of the lives and stories pertaining to traditions which still exist today and together with Gigi the fisherman, we would be pleased to share these stories with you and show you around.
